The Registered Nurse at the Ambulatory Surgery Center provides direct patient care through pre-operative, procedural, and recovery stages, primarily assisting with pain management injections. The role involves patient assessments, IV starts, and coordination of pre-admission telephone processes in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment. Ideal candidates hold RN licensure, nursing credentials, and experience in ambulatory surgery or related settings, supporting a high volume of daily patients.
Novant Health Southeastern Spine Institute is looking for a Registered Nurse for the Abmulatory Surgery Center!
- Location: 1625 Hospital Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
- Status: Full Time
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm 4 shifts/week with a rotating day off each week. No weekends, no major holidays. No call.

What We're Looking For:Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
Preferred:
- ACLS and PALS
- Bachelors Degree
- One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience
The Registered Nurse ASC is expected to work in a primary nursing area for the center. The Registered Nurse ASC is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations. He/she is also responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.
RNs for the Southeastern Spine Institute ASC rotate between the three areas and focus their efforts on treating patients who are recieving pain management injections:
Pre-Op:
- Obtaining patient demographics
- Starting IVs
Procedure:
- Assiting the provider with injection
- This team sees 60-90 patients per day!
Recovery:
- Patients are in recover for ~15 minutes before they can continue their daily lives
