The Mental Health Technician provides clinical support under RN supervision, performing duties related to patient care in acute adult psychiatric settings. The role requires a high school diploma, relevant experience, and certifications in Basic Life Support and de-escalation techniques. This part-time position involves working overnight shifts to assist in managing patient safety and well-being.
Summary:
Performs clinical duties as delegated by RN and within the scope of this job description and training.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills:
• High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience preferred.
B. Experience:
• 1 year of mental health tech experience preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
• Current certification with the American Heart Association Basic Life Support or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification.
