Our job summary

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct patient care, implements and monitors care plans, and coordinates with healthcare team members to ensure well-organized patient treatment and discharge planning. This full-time night shift role requires current nursing licensure and certifications, with preference given to candidates with prior ICU or emergency department experience. Schedule: FT. Nights. 6pm to 6am. Every other weekend. Every other holiday

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

Prefer 1 year prior hospital related experience specifically ICU or ED. Current BLS certification and ACLS or required to take the course within 3 months of hire
