A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases including endoscopy, OB/GYN, pediatrics, general surgery, and orthopedics. This locum tenens position requires proficiency in spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks, with an active nursing license and necessary certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. The role involves working primarily from 7 AM to 3 PM with call coverage in the evening, operating in a collaborative environment with onsite MD supervision and using EPIC EMR systems.
Clinical Role:
Position: Locum Tenens - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Certification: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible
Licensure: Active unrestricted license or Compact License accepted
Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days
Required Certifications (All AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
Schedule & Call:
Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Call Hours: 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Includes both OR and OB call coverage
Call Response Time: 20 minutes
Supervision: MDs onsite - little to no supervision
Case Mix & Requirements:
Case Types: Endoscopy, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics
Skills Required: Proficient in spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks
Caselog Requirement: Yes - Must provide documentation of recent spinals, epidurals, and blocks
