Job Title: PET/CT Technologist NEED DUAL REGISTRY
a PET/CT Technologist to join their team. They describe themselves as “challenging the status quo by shining the light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment.” You will perform all Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT) (PET/CT) procedures according to established standards and protocols to provide quality patient care. Also, you are expected to remain self-motivated to increase your level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- ~75% of role: Perform routine and advanced PET/CT procedures on designated parts of the body for diagnostic/treatment purposes, with minimal supervision or repeat scans.
- Screen patients before the procedure for any precautions or contraindications.
- Explain and prepare patients for the PET/CT procedure, positioning them appropriately, and provide patient support by talking them through the process.
- Adjust scan parameters properly, using dose-reduction techniques where appropriate.
- Additional duties (~5-%) as assigned.
- Accredited program graduate in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
- Certification by NMTCB and ARRT in Nuclear Medicine/Nuclear Technology (and CT where applicable).
- NJ State licensure (or eligibility) for Nuclear Medicine/Radiologic Technology.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Ability to perform PET/CT procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, work independently.
