This role requires overseeing client devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones, ensuring network connectivity and resolving technical issues promptly, especially for VIP staff. The position also includes managing conference room AV equipment, coordinating with facilities, and handling ticketing systems for IT service requests.
Description
Leidos is hiring a Senior Systems Administrator to support the ESA V program. The ESA V program is an IT Services program supporting several federal customers. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, asset management, desk side support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others. Leidos has an opportunity for an individual to serve as part of the onsite technical team supporting our customer from their Downtown Washington, DC office.
Location: Onsite in Washington, DC (parking costs not covered).
Up to 25% telework may be authorized based on customer needs.
Our customer has approximately four hundred employees who work both at the downtown DC office and remotely. The Senior Systems Administrator will be the senior onsite technical person responsible for keeping the customer’s IT in supporting its staff up and running at all times.
Client computing devices supported at the customer’s headquarters include end user desktops, laptops (approximately 500 laptops running on Windows), tablets and smart phones (approximately 300 iOS phones and tablets). Client computing devices are primarily supported by the operating systems (OS) installed on these devices, print/fax software, audio/video conferencing device software, and productivity/collaboration software. These client computing devices communicate with enterprise computing resources via network connectivity, e.g., WAN, LAN, and WLAN to enterprise computing and storage services.
There are currently 11 conference rooms, including an Executive Board room and a large training room (maximum capacity of 300). The individual selected for this position will be responsible for managing the audio / visual equipment and may have to coordinate with building facilities staff to perform physical installations or deinstallations of equipment.
The customer’s staff consists of approximately 15 VIPs; the individual selected for this position will be expected to pay extra attention to the IT needs of the VIPs and ensure that their equipment functions flawlessly and that any issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing tickets in the ticket queue and, in coordination with the team, working them to closure within established timeframes. This individual is responsible may also be tasked with providing reports to the customer and to management and may also be tasked with other duties as assigned in support of the customer’s IT mission.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or a Master's with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- IT Support Experience for Windows laptops and M365
- Experience supporting iPhones and iPads
- Experience supporting Video conferencing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience interfacing with senior level customers
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust
Desired Qualifications:
- Microsoft Intune experience
- Experience with W365 Cloud PCs
- Past experience supporting FRTIB

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
