The Facility Maintenance Site Supervisor will oversee daily operational activities and coordinate project progress at a refurbished industrial manufacturing site. Responsibilities include managing maintenance tasks, contractor coordination, emergency response, and ensuring project timelines are met through effective communication and documentation. Pay Rate: $50–$60 per hour
Project Type: Decommissioned can‑manufacturing plant (currently being refurbished for return to building owner)
Estimated Contract Period: through June 2026
Manpower is seeking a highly organized and hands‑on Site Supervisor to oversee both operational and project‑related activities at a large industrial manufacturing facility in Kent. This decommissioned can-manufacturing plant is currently undergoing refurbishment, and your role will be central to ensuring the site runs safely, smoothly, and in alignment with project timelines.
This position has two key areas of responsibility:
- Operational oversight of the facility
- Day‑to‑day project coordination and progress tracking
Operational Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operational activities of the site.
- Manage general maintenance and coordinate responses to any building‑related breakdowns, including:
- Heating and HVAC
- Restrooms and plumbing
- Facility upkeep and repair needs
- Respond to and address fire alarm or fire system issues.
- Partner closely with the onsite security team.
- Coordinate with a list of approved local contractors (provided).
- Serve as a point of contact for emergency response; you will be provided with a list of emergency contacts for rapid escalation when necessary.
- Lead a daily morning meeting with the project team to review progress and map next steps.
- Complete required daily project documentation and progress reports.
- Track project action items to ensure schedules, cadence, and deliverables stay on track.
- Identify minor issues and resolve them promptly to prevent delays.
- Address local queries from the project team and follow up with external stakeholders for necessary information or approvals.
- Strong background in facilities supervision, maintenance, or industrial site management.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating daily operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project tasks, track progress, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Comfortable in a dynamic environment undergoing active refurbishment.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
