Our job summary

The Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Intermediate Care provides direct nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a hospital setting, coordinating care and implementing patient care plans. They monitor patient condition, execute physician and nursing orders, and assist in discharge planning. The role requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and preferably experience as a relief Charge Nurse in a cardiovascular specialty area.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of
the healthcare organization.

Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date required.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences

Strongly prefer candidates who have experience in a relief Charge Nurse capacity and wish to continue.

Prefer candidates with a minimum of 1 year RN work-related experience in area of specialty.
