Unit Summary:
Last year, Clark Regional Medical Center broke ground on an expansion for the intensive care unit (ICU). The expansion signifies a 75% increase in capacity for the ICU, adding six beds to the eight that are currently available. The new construction also includes the expansion of an advanced care unit (ACU) and build-out space for a new surgical suite, enabling Clark Regional to expand surgery as the needs of the community demand.
Position Summary:
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Nursing, required
- KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 10 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire
- Handle With Care - within 30 days of hire

It has over 75 physicians, 487 employees, and 75 volunteers on its staff. Clark Regional fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC)Clark Regional is a part of LifePoint Hospitals, a leading hospital company based in Brentwood, Tennessee focused on providing quality healthcare services close to home. LifePoint acquired CRMC on May 1, 2010 and announced plans for a new replacement facility. Clark Regional completed construction on its new 70 million dollar campus in 2012. The 131,000 square foot hospital, features state-of-the-art technology including new and expanded services including Diagnostic Services, larger capacity Emergency Services, home-like Labor and Delivery Suites, all private patient rooms, and a skilled nursing facility (Transitional Care Unit or TCU). The campus also includes a 45,000 square foot Medical Plaza which houses the Clark Clinic (primary, specialty and urgent care clinics), Diagnostic Center for Women, Center for Rehabilitation, Specialty Clinic and Anticoagulation Clinic. In May 2015 the hospital broke ground on a 45,000 square foot expansion of the Clark Clinic. The new three story building will provide services such as cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation, a sleep clinic, wound care clinic, center for rehabilitation, diabetes clinic, Coumadin clinic, congestive heart failure clinic and additional physician suites. Construction on the new building is expected to be complete by the summer of 2016.
