• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470-$1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner/Fetalink EMR systems
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from Birmingham healthcare facility
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor mothers and newborns, ensuring safety and comfort during labor and delivery
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner/Fetalink EMR
• Respond quickly to emergencies and follow established clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
