Wellhart is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Texas. This 120-day assignment, starting 08/04/2025, offers the opportunity to work in a hospital setting, focusing exclusively on OB/C-section cases under medical direction. The schedule is flexible, with options for either 5 days of 8-hour shifts or 4 days of 10-hour shifts per week. Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 weeks. As a locum tenens provider, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anesthesia care for obstetric patients, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a specialized setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric patients, focusing on C-section cases
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia during procedures
• Manage patient recovery and post-anesthesia care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic/Medaxion systems
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Stay current with the latest advancements in obstetric anesthesiology
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures and risks
Additional Information:
• Must be a licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
• Active Texas medical license required
• Experience with Epic and Medaxion EMR systems preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and OR schedules
• Commitment to a minimum of 3 weeks of coverage
