Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Waterloo, Iowa (50703) – Iowa nursing jobs
• Facility: 130-bed hospital, Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (Nursing Float-Resource)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: January 7, 2026
• End Date: April 8, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
• EMR System: EPIC
• Floating: May float to Behavioral Health, Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and post-procedural areas

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license – Iowa healthcare jobs
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Med/Tele
• First-time travel nurses accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, NIHSS, MOAB
• Proficiency in EKG/ECG, rhythm strips, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with passing score of 80%
• Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, and references

RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and manage patients on drips including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin
• Perform all telemetry-related duties, including rhythm strip and dysrhythmia reads
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Float to Behavioral Health, ED, ICU, and post-procedural units as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
