The Pulmonary Function Tech is responsible for managing all aspects of the Pulmonary Diagnostic Laboratory, ensuring accurate respiratory diagnostic testing. This role requires an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, appropriate licensure, and certification in respiratory care. The technician must have strong clinical decision-making skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in computer applications to support patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, or higher.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care as an CPFT, RPFT, or RRT.
Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners as a Respiratory Care Professional.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS Certification.
CPFT/RPFT preferred.
Excellent clinical decision making skills and critical thinking to assess patient care, good verbal and written communication skill, proficient with Windows-based computer applications and email.
