Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• 16-bed ICU unit with 1:2 patient ratios, occasionally 1:3
• Care for variety of ICU acuity patients including ventilated patients, BIS scoring, TTM, and rarely IABP
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin
• May float to PCU or Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify 50-mile radius requirement
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit affiliated facility
• Classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation
• 6-week scheduling done by scheduler
• EPIC charting system
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
