This position manages a small behavioral health team, balancing administrative duties with a clinical caseload focused on outpatient psychiatric treatment. Responsibilities include program design and implementation, staffing decisions, budget recommendations, and utilization management within mental health services. The role requires a Master's degree in applied behavioral science and professional licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Counselor in California.
Generally responsible for a small group or program, with both administrative and client caseload responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Makes budget recommendations.
- Has input into hiring decisions with veto authority; responsible for staffing various programs: coaches staff; provides input into performance evaluations.
- Generally responsible for a small group or program such as IOP/Adolescent/Crisis Team. Responsible for program design and implementation within unit.
- Monitors access indicators: responsible for utilization management.

Basic Qualifications:Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of post license, paid experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
- Masters degree in applied behavioral science required.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California)
- National Provider Identifier required at hire
- Knowledge of state regulations with regard to ethics, treatment, patient rights and confidentiality.
- if Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, must meet couples and families requirement or complete within two (2) years of hire
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment. Preferred Qualifications:
