Position Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of pre-operative and post-operative care of the perioperative patient in the Pre/Post Unit through the use of the nursing process. The Nursing process is defined as the assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care pertinent to the individual patient. Completing pre-admission patient interviews, patient education, nursing assessment according to anesthesia guidelines and surgical scheduling personnel. The PAT RN works in collaboration with anesthesia providers, physicians, physician office personnel, and perioperative personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
- Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
- Must obtain ACLS, CPR and PALS within 90 days of hire.
