A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician diagnoses and treats medical conditions related to physical impairments and disabilities, develops treatment plans, and performs diagnostic procedures. They collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care and maintain accurate medical documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance. The physician participates in quality improvement initiatives and keeps current with medical advancements to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide clear and concise medical information.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Perform procedures as needed
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- A valid and unrestricted Texas medical license
- Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
Overview
Baylor St Lukes Medical Group is in need of an additional Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician to join our inpatient PM&R service. The incoming physician would enjoy a Monday-Friday practice, with alternating weekend coverage as needed.

Pay Range
$320.275 - $358.569 /hour
