Corewell Health South is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to provide inpatient pediatric and newborn care, including attending high-risk deliveries and performing various medical procedures. The role involves daily patient management, collaboration with NICU facilities, and participation in a supportive, community-focused teaching hospital environment. Corewell Health South is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible full time Pediatric Hospitalist to join our dedicated team of providers. Seeking physicians who are patient-centered and team-oriented to join our high performing team.
The Pediatric Hospitalist Team, which includes three physicians and two advanced practitioner, provides coverage for inpatient pediatrics and the newborn nursery at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. Primary duties include:
Admitting and Rounding on patients daily; average daily census: 2-4 pediatric patients,
8-10 newbornsManagement of newborns in level 1 nursery (close relationships with NICU facilities nearby)
Attend high-risk deliveries
Perform procedures, including circumcision, intubation, lumbar puncture
Consultations in Emergency Room

Corewell Health in southwest Michigan is a teaching hospital, offering residencies in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine. We also host 3rd and 4th year medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine.
