Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will provide loan review due diligence and consulting services to support our clients in assessing and managing insurance-related risks tied to their loan portfolios.
How you'll make an impact
- Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews as part of loan due diligence processes, ensuring compliance with lender requirements and industry standards.
- Analyze borrower-provided insurance policies to verify adequacy of coverage, policy terms, and alignment with loan agreements.
- Identify potential insurance gaps, exposures, or risks and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with lenders, borrowers, and other stakeholders to address insurance-related questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for clients.
- Stay updated on insurance regulations, market trends, and best practices to ensure high-quality consulting services.
- Utilize certificate tracking platform to manage loan compliance and deliver up to date reports for clients.
About You
- Required: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years client service and/or claims management experience -OR- High School degree/GED with 10+ years client service and/or claims management experience. 1+ years supervisory experience. Appropriate licensing as required.
- Preferred: Previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships. Solid financial acumen.
- Behaviors: Proficient in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortably engages others in consultative discussion. Effectively manages/balances multiple and sometimes competing priorities. Works in a self-directed manner.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, and risk management principles.
- Experience in loan review, due diligence, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience on the insurance brokerage side a plus

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
