What You'll Do:
- Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing professional customer service to all individuals at the location.
- Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor for and report suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate authorities or management.
- Maintain a visible presence at designated posts while armed, adhering strictly to company and legal protocols regarding weapons handling.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents or routine operations at government facilities.
- Complete thorough and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training to remain current on security-related procedures, emergency response, and changes to site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A college degree is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A corrections officer license is required.
- Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- A law enforcement officer license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
