End Date: Minimum 6-month assignment
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Hospital
Responsibilities: Grossing own specimens (alternating biopsies and surgical sections), reading cases/day, blood bank/organ procurement call, frozen sections (after hours only), pathology reviews
Required Procedures:
Anatomic Pathology: Surgical Pathology, GI Pathology, GU Pathology, Neuropathology, Hematopathology (Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes), Bone Marrow Aspiration/Bx, Interpretation of Bone Marrow Aspirate/Bx, Cytology, Autopsy
Clinical Pathology: Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, Blood Bank
EMR System: Epic Beaker
Support Staff: 2 physicians, 6 histotechnologists
Days Per Month: Weekdays; call every other week
On-Call/Weekends: Rotating call every two weeks, including weeknights and weekends

Active Georgia Medical License Required
