ICU Nurse Job Details

• Location: Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (Upstate New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: January 31, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020
• Open Positions: 2 ICU RN jobs
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required

ICU Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications
• Proficient in hypothermia protocols, balloon pump management, and pulmonary artery line care
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Available to work through the holiday season
• Must pass on-site, closed-book ECG exam (study materials provided)
• Residency restrictions: Cannot reside in Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany counties
• Facility physical and flu vaccination required (documentation needed 10 days before start)
• Not eligible if employed at this facility in the past year or within AMC network in the past six months

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond to complex patient needs, including hypothermia, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Participate in required on-site ECG exam and maintain clinical competency
• Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
